A skincare routine that actually works in Uganda's climate

Most skincare advice online assumes a temperate climate. Kampala gives us strong equatorial sun, humidity swings, dust and long sweaty commutes, your routine should match that reality.

Morning: gentle cleanse, your prescribed active, moisturiser suited to your skin type, and sunscreen, gel and lotion textures beat heavy creams here. Evening: a proper cleanse to remove sunscreen, sweat and dust, then treatment actives at night where they won't fight the sun.

The Ugandan adjustments that matter: reapply sunscreen on outdoor days, cleanse after heavy sweating, keep exfoliation gentle (over-scrubbing plus sun equals dark marks on our skin), and distrust any cream promising 'fast clearing', the harsh ones cause the damage they claim to fix.

Three products used consistently beat ten used occasionally. Cleanse, treat, moisturise, protect, then add from there. And if your skin isn't cooperating, a consultation costs less than another drawer of failed products.
